two items as printed, good clean state. The Appeal, 4pp, unfolded size 49cm x 31cm. The Appendix to the Claimant and Appellant's Case, 24pp, unfolded size 49cm x 31cm. AJS: The Swedish ship Concordia, Master Johann Kreplien, with a Danish owned cargo of beef, was taken by the Active on 24th January, 1779, and carried into the Port of Falmouth. The cargo was condemned as contraband and confiscated along with the vessel, after this event the master and owners of the cargo went to appeal. These documents give a description of the incident and its background along with the capture and subsequent events. The Appendix includes copies of all the papers from each side along with translations of documemts and material from Swedish and Danish sources.
