AJS: An invaluable contemporary record of French, Dutch, Spanish, Danish and British warships and privateers lost, captured or destroyed during the French Revolutionary War. The information is clearly arranged year by year, with details of where, when and by whom the event occurred. Particularly valuable are the lists shewing the enemy privateers taken or destroyed. The second part is an analysis of enemy colonies captured and treaties signed during the war. Steel first published the Naval Chronologist in 1801, with revised editions appearing in 1803, 1805, 1806 and 1825.
